University Mergers in Georgia

A merger has been approved between Georgia State University and Georgia Perimeter College. The enrollment of the combined institution will make it the largest in the state, surpassing the University of Georgia. The campuses of the institutions are located throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area.

Additionally, the University System of Georgia Board of Regents finalized the consolidation of Kennesaw State University and Southern Polytechnic State University.
