Merger of Darton State College and Albany State University to be Finalized

A merger process is advancing in Georgia between Darton State College and Albany State University, with a finalization target date of January 2017. The administrations of the two institutions are working to combine personnel and various administrative functions in preparation for the combination. Post-merger, ASU President Art Dunning said that ASU will retain its HBCU status and many of the current two-year degree programs at Darton will continue.
