Public/Private Merger of Major Chicago Institutions

Following two years of deliberations, the private John Marshall Law School will merge with the public University of Illinois Chicago. The merger would establish the first public law school in Chicago. The merger has no effect on the University of Illinois College of Law in Urbana. The merger is slated to be official in fall 2019, with a transition of students, faculty, programs and other resources over time.
