Brian Weinblatt is the founder and principal of Higher Ed Consolidation Solutions, a full-service college and university merger consultancy. Dr. Weinblatt became interested in university mergers while employed at The University of Toledo during its 2006 merger with the Medical University of Ohio. His doctoral dissertation examined decision-making processes during the early stages of the UT/MUO merger, as well as the 2004 consolidation of the University of Colorado at Denver with the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Since 2009, Dr. Weinblatt has been writing about university mergers across the United States, and has been interviewed as a topical expert by regional and national media. Dr. Weinblatt has held leadership positions in alumni and development at universities in Ohio and Florida.
